End of the Year

I haven’t really updated this in a while so I figured I might as well give it a shot!

Thanksgiving: We had the BEST Thanksgiving this year! Everyone was around, there was good food and zero drama. I can’t be any more thankful for a great Thanksgiving.

Our Birthday: 22. Nothin’ special really. Had dinner at my in-laws. Lasagna, it was fabulous! Jess and I didn’t really do anything for our birthday, but we were glad to be in each others company.

Christmas: Both Jess and I worked. However it was well worth it! It was pretty dead at the Airport so I wasn’t there all day. Enjoyed time with the family. My father in laws father showed up with his wife and that was good. Mimosa’s all around.

Jessica and I did our own little Christmas with each other and it was very sweet. She got me this beautiful Sapphire necklace and matching ring. It’s gorgeous! I’ll post pictures after I get the ring back from being sized. :]

My family sent us gifts from back east. My favorite gift though by far is one I got from my Dad. He sent me my Papa’s Bluejackets Manual from 1940! Its amazing how so much has changed in it since then. It has instructions on how to swim even! :] Its something I am going to truly treasure for the rest of my life. Its a piece of my Papa that is tangible since I can’t touch him in Heaven.

My second favorite gift is just being alive and having a job. I am very thankful to have been employed for 4 consecutive months. Not with the same employer, but this job I have now at the Airport seems to be sticking, which I like! I’m promoting the Alaska Airlines as well as the Delta credit cards. Pretty decent gig overall. I’m not terrible at it anyway.

I am looking forward to the New Year though. 2012 seems to be looking up right now. This year has been pretty hard, especially with my hospitalization in August. However it was also filled with beautiful moments, such as our Wedding.

From the two of us we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed and Happy New Year.

Love,
Jen and Jess
